Nicola Richards, Professional Counselor Intern

My name is Nicola Richards. I was born and raised in Virginia. I am a mother of four children and I have been with my husband for ten years. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Old Dominion University. I am currently a student in my final semester at Liberty University pursuing a Master’s Degree in School Counseling. I am also taking extra classes to become a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and plan to take the licensing exam upon completion of my M. Ed.. My interests are counseling children, adolescents, families, and couples. I am especially interested in working with women/children/adolescents that are experiencing family conflicts, having difficulty in school, and/or emotional/social issues. I volunteer at Birthright counseling expecting mothers that are struggling due to economic/financial concerns. I help them work through their issues, and connect them with community resources to help them meet their basic needs. I have a strong passion to help others in need, and this desire led me to the counseling profession. Fee: First two sessions $80, continue sessions $60.
