Angelique Lawrence, Founder & Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Greetings and welcome to ALCC Health Services!

Licensed Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist with Christian values. I have over 20 years experience with child psychologist and families, I also counsel couples, parent-child relationship, drug education, conflict resolution, anger management, divorce mediation, and reunification. I am also available for consultant and house calls.

I received a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hofstra University in NY. I received a second Master’s in Military Psychology from Adler University. I’m also Certificated in Alcohol and Substance abuse (CASAC), Sexual therapy, and Divorce Mediation in NY and VA.

Specialist in Child psychology all ages major focus on 8-17 years old. Children and co-parenting issues is my second specialty in helping family navigate through life. Depression, anxiety, family reunification, divorce and parenting, behavioral concerns, just to name a few.

Lisa Adam, Professional Counselor Intern

My name is Lisa Adam. I am in a season of my life where my kids are grown, I have grandchildren, and have experienced life with all its ups and downs! I also like to work with young adults and teenagers who are trying to find their way through their personal struggles. I have a passion for working with couples who may desire pre-marital counseling. I believe in collaborating with my clients to help build a trusting relationship and establish your personal goals. I currently hold a master’s degree in Human Services with a congruency in Military Resilience. Being raised an “Army Brat” I have great respect for those who serve and their families. I am currently completing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and working as an intern. I look forward to meeting you as you take the first step in living your best life.

Aleice Barry, Professional Counselor Intern

I am passionate about solution-focus therapy centered around a person’s needs. Life sometimes presents us with challenges that we don’t always have control over. As a member of A.L.C.C. I aim to help you uncover and rediscover strengths, weaknesses, and any obstacles that may be in your way of thriving. I specialize in supporting adolescents, young adults, intellectually disabled adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, etc. I am here to create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to express yourself freely to someone who is actively listening.

Nicola Richards, Professional Counselor Intern

My name is Nicola Richards. I was born and raised in Virginia. I am a mother of four children and I have been with my husband for ten years. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Old Dominion University. I am currently a student in my final semester at Liberty University pursuing a Master’s Degree in School Counseling. I am also taking extra classes to become a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and plan to take the licensing exam upon completion of my M. Ed.. My interests are counseling children, adolescents, families, and couples. I am especially interested in working with women/children/adolescents that are experiencing family conflicts, having difficulty in school, and/or emotional/social issues. I volunteer at Birthright counseling expecting mothers that are struggling due to economic/financial concerns. I help them work through their issues, and connect them with community resources to help them meet their basic needs. I have a strong passion to help others in need, and this desire led me to the counseling profession. ​ Fee: First two sessions $80, continue sessions $60.

Damon Saunders, LCSW

Philosophy: Damon believes in using a variety of techniques designed to meet the needs of each client. He places strong emphasis on building a strong therapeutic relationship with all new patients, confidentiality, genuineness and self determination. Damon Saunders received his Bachelor of Social Work degree from George Mason University. He then completed his graduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University receiving a Master’s degree in Social Work. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Saunders worked in Child Welfare for 9 years with an emphasis on child abuse and neglect. In that time, he gained a knowledge base in family dynamics, effective communication, and human behavior, as he worked in the home environment with adolescents and their families. Mr. Saunders credits his years in child welfare as valuable and instrumental with his transition into psychotherapy. Mr. Saunders specializes in depression, anxiety, anger management, parent-child conflict, marital problems, life-stressors, men’s issues, past trauma and work related issues. Treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Client Centered, Psychodynamic, and Solution Focused Therapy. Mr. Saunders is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who practices individual, group, and family therapy with adolescents and adults.
